Cyberbullying of teens increases with the increase of smartphones and social media, our online privacy and safety can be put at risk, and AI might be on its way to outsmart humans. Needless to say, technological advances are also improving our day-to-day lives and carries endless opportunities. Self-driving cars are making an entrance, students have all learning resources at the tip of their fingertips, and Big Data can even prepare us for natural disasters.
For the 12-hour hackathon, Microsoft would like to invite you to think about the opportunities of technology. More specifically, think about a technical solution to solve one the following existing issues:
- environmental
- shortage (e.g. food, water, medical supplies, infrastructure)
- health care
- public safety
